Description
The Paragon KM18D is a 1290°C, rectangular, front-opening, plug-in, table-top, firebrick kiln, with a ramp-hold Sentry Xpress 3-key digital programmer.
The UK-EU kiln is rated at 230V 2000W, so can use a regular mains socket.
The outer steel case measures 432mm x 686mm x 432mm high. The standard drop-down door is hinged on the bottom and kept closed by a counterbalanced handle.
The firebrick firing chamber measures 140mm wide x 457mm deep x 108mm high internally, and heats from both sides and the back, with the fast-firing elements lying in grooves in the 76mm thick bricks.
The programmer's electronic display prompts for heating rates, target temperatures, and hold times, making it easy to set up and re-use accurate heating, holding, and cooling sequences.
The weight is about 59kg.
